Double Dave's Pizzaworks

DoubleDave's Pizzaworks is a true College Station success story. Founded in 1984 by David Davydd Miller, the original DoubleDave's Pizzaworks was located on George Bush Drive across from Kyle Field. From there, DoubleDave's grew to three Bryan/College Station locations before expanding regionally and beyond. There are now 54 stores across the state, but those hometown roots are still strong with DoubleDave's Pizzaworks earning the 2009 Readers' Choice Award for “Best Pizza.”

“Variety is what sets us apart,” said Joseph Adair, DoubleDave's district manager. “Not the variety of menu, but the variety of customer. We offer dine-in, buffet, pick-up, to-go, catering and delivery. No one else offers these things with such a superior product and great atmosphere to go along with it.”

DoubleDave's offers a variety of hand-crafted pizzas and specialty treats such as cinnamonstyx, stromboli, chocolate chip cookie pizza and their famous Peproni Rolls. They cover virtually all of Bryan/College Station with their delivery, and their three Brazos Valley locations ensure that everyone in the area is close to some great pizza.

The fun atmosphere at DoubleDave's has always been a big part of their success, and the key to the atmosphere is the employees. The employees' great attitude and helpful service is the product of the DoubleDave's style of management that recognizes the potential in each employee and allows them room to grow.

This is DoubleDave's second award for best pizza in three years. The recognition from the community is something the staff at DoubleDave's never takes for granted, and they are very pleased to accept this year's award.
