Dr. Ricardo Pocurull and his outstanding staff provide state-of-the-art care for rheumatic diseases using musculoskeletal ultrasound. Dr. Ricardo Pocurull is a native Texan. He is the son of Cuban exiles who sought and found freedom in the US. Dr. Pocurull arrived in College Station with his wife and son in the fall of 2002 from Houston. He comes from a long line of medical professionals. At the turn of the 20th Century, the Hospital de la Caridad in Sagua, Cuba, was renamed in honor of Dr. Ricardo Pocurull y Oña, his great-great-grandfather.

Dr. Pocurull practices evidence-based medicine tempered with individualized therapy and provides nothing less than excellent care to patients with Rheumatic conditions. All diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations are based on the best and updated research. However, he recognizes that everyone is different and therapy must be tailored according to each patient’s unique characteristics, wishes, needs, and complexity. He takes an assertive and resolute approach to management of rheumatic syndromes as well as providing a supportive, and attentive demeanor.
